Alpharetta Homes for Sale

Nestled between the Noth Georgia Mountains and Atlanta is Alpharetta, a community in Fulton County and home to about 68,000 folks. It's unusual name is derived from a variation of 19th century song called the Blue Juniata about a fictional Indian girl but also derived from the first letter of the Greek alphabet. However, it was originally known as the town of Milton up until 1858 and served as the county seat of Milton until 1931. Milton County was eventually merged with Fulton County and now Alpharetta is located entirely in Fulton County but is not the county seat.
